A fire broke out Thursday in the outdoor area of a workshop near a beach in Kalochori, west of Thessaloniki, with flames later spreading inside the facility.
The firefighting operation involved 23 firefighters with nine vehicles, as well as a helicopter conducting aerial support.
Equipment from the Delta municipality and water tankers from the Central Macedonia region were also assisting crews.
The blaze began among waste materials, dry grass, wooden pallets and plastic items stored outside the business before extending into the workshop, according to authorities.
A drone equipped with optical and thermal cameras was monitoring the fire, transmitting data to Greece’s emergency coordination center.
