Chinese technology firms are expanding into Thailand's enterprise AI market, positioning agentic AI as the next stage of business transformation.
Chinese technology giants are accelerating their penetration into Thailand's enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) market, touting agentic AI as the next stage of business transformation.Boston Consulting Group's analysis expects agentic AI to expand the total global addressable market for technology services, unlocking up to US$200 billion in net new value pools over five years.
Jimmy Chen, vice-president of Asia-Pacific for Tencent Cloud International, told the Bangkok Post that the company sees strong opportunities for Thai enterprises to deeply embed AI agent technology into the natural flow of everyday work.
A recent report found that while the vast majority of enterprises across Asia, including those in Thailand, are pursuing AI adoption, 71% still struggle to scale beyond pilot projects.
"We believe the key to scaling adoption is AI built for real-world applications. This is where our focus on scenario-based AI comes in, as we apply AI solutions to practical business needs rather than using the technology for its own sake," said Mr Chen.
