President Donald Trump and other opponents of birthright citizenship wasted little time after the Supreme Court issued its decision in Trump v. Barbara, holding that a child born on U.S. soil is a citizen, regardless of the status of the parents. Only a few hours after the decision came down, the president made two social media posts that outlined the contours of the fights to come over birthright citizenship.
