Samoa Golf Incorporated has launched a regional campaign called “The Rise” as preparations build toward the 2026 Samoa Open Championship, the nation’s premier golf event.
The campaign was announced this week, promoting the tournament across the Pacific while also supporting youth development and strengthening Samoa’s profile as a golfing destination.
Samoa Golf Incorporated said interest in the 2026 championship is already strong. Seventeen Fiji PGA professionals have said they plan to compete after recent discussions with the Fiji PGA. More entries are expected from Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, and other Pacific nations, along with amateur players, visiting families, and business visitors.
“The Samoa Open is much more than a golf tournament,” said Leiataua Isikuki Punivalu, president of Samoa Golf Incorporated.
“It is an opportunity to showcase Samoa to the Pacific and beyond. Through ‘The Rise’, we are celebrating the growth of golf in our country, investing in our young players, strengthening our regional partnerships, and building the Samoa Open into one of the premier sporting events in the Pacific.”
