The group also strongly condemned the blocking of journalists, supporters, and other authorised individuals from gaining access to the court.

The Bauchi State chapter of the Take-It-Back (TIB) Movement has condemned the heavy security lockdown at the Federal High Court in Abuja during the continued trial of human rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore.

The group also strongly condemned the blocking of journalists, supporters, and other authorised individuals from gaining access to the court.

In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by its Bauchi State coordinator, Nazif Bashi, the group berated the large deployment of armed security operatives around the court premises.

SaharaReporters earlier reported that peaceful supporters carrying placards and chanting solidarity songs were prevented from approaching the court complex, while journalists and some individuals said to have prior authorisation to enter the courtroom were allegedly denied access.
