Infrastructure firm Xlinks is showing plans this month for a massive data centre and battery storage complex it proposes to build in north Devon.
The campus would occupy just over one-third of an 850-acre (3.4 square mile) site between Great Torrington, Weare Giffard and Huntshaw.
Xlinks, whose plans to bring energy to the UK from Morocco through subsea cables was shelved by the government earlier this year, outlined its plans before a crowd of hundreds of people at a public meeting in the town hall of Great Torrington last Thursday.
