MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Risa Hontiveros on Tuesday denied proposing a ban on video games amid online discussions scrutinizing her stance on the matter.
Hontiveros, who chairs the Senate panel on women, children, family relations, and gender equality, scheduled a hearing to examine the role of video games in influencing violent behavior among minors.
“I never recommended, said, or even thought about banning any game, including Gorebox,” Hontiveros asserted in a social media post.
