The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) and human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has called on supporters and members of the revolutionary movement to stand with him as he prepares to appear before the Federal High Court in Abuja for the continuation of his trial.

Sowore made this known Monday evening in a statement issued ahead of his scheduled appearance before Justice M.G. Umar, stating that the case against him was politically motivated and designed to suppress dissenting voices.

According to Sowore, he is expected to appear before Justice M.G. Umar at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday for what he described as the continuation of a "farcical trial."

He noted that the case was instituted by the Department of State Services (DSS), which he accused of acting on behalf of President Bola Tinubu's administration.
