Human rights activist and presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has launched a fresh attack on Nigeria’s security agencies and the judiciary, accusing top officials of orchestrating a coordinated campaign to suppress dissent and criminalise free speech.

In a post on X on Wednesday, shortly after a court session, Sowore described those behind his prosecution as “a bunch of jokers masquerading as law enforcers.”

He noted that SaharaReporters had previously exposed the alleged roles played by the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi, and former Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, in what he termed attacks against him.
