A convicted drug dealer sentenced in absentia to 15 years’ imprisonment has been captured hiding out near Patra in the northwestern Peloponnese, police said Monday.
A police statement said that officers also arrested a second man on charges of aiding and abetting the drug dealer by providing him shelter.
Both men were only identified as foreign nationals.
A Patra court had found the main suspect guilty of drugs offenses, belonging to a criminal organisation and grievous bodily harm, the police statement said.
Officers confiscated €6,400 in cash found in the suspects’ possession.
