The Delhi Cabinet has approved a new Electric Vehicle Policy aimed at accelerating the city's transition to clean mobility. Subject to the Lieutenant Governor's approval, the policy will come into effect on July 1, 2026, and remain in force until March 31, 2030. It offers a 100% exemption on road tax and registration fees for electric cars priced up to ₹30 lakh, purchase incentives for electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers and trucks, and a ₹1 lakh scrappage incentive for eligible vehicle owners switching to EVs.
