Senior Crime Intelligence officer, Feroz Khan has been hospitalised after being shot on Sunday in Johannesburg.
Suspended Deputy Head of Crime Intelligence, Maj-Gen Feroz Khan, has been hospitalised following a suspected targeted shooting in Houghton on Sunday night, just days ahead of his scheduled testimony at the Madlanga Commission.
Preliminary reports indicate that two unidentified gunmen in a white Mercedes-Benz opened fire on Khan before fleeing the scene.
Investigators have since recovered at least two spent bullet casings, and it has been reported that Khan sustained gunshot wounds to his lower body.
He was rushed to Netcare Milpark Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
