Firefighters have largely contained a wildfire that broke out Saturday afternoon in a forested area of the Krioneria region in western Greece, according to the Fire Department.
A separate wildfire, also in the Nafpaktia area, at a forested area near Kato Mamoulada, has been brought under partial control, the fire department added.
Strong ground firefighting forces remain deployed at both locations to secure the affected areas, prevent the fires from spreading, and respond immediately to any potential flare-ups. [AMNA]
