A three-storey building has collapsed in the Alakija area of Lagos State, with several people feared trapped beneath the rubble.

PUNCH Online gathered that the incident occurred at about 11:40 am on Thursday, and the exact number of persons trapped could not be immediately ascertained.

As of the time of filing this report, emergency responders and rescue operators had yet to arrive at the scene, while anxious residents and bystanders gathered around the collapsed structure, awaiting intervention.
