According to the agency, two victims have so far been rescued alive through the joint efforts of LASEMA, the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), and CRCC Construction Company.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has activated its emergency response following the collapse of a three-storey shopping complex in the Alakija area of Ori-Ade Local Council Development Area (LCDA), with rescue operations still ongoing.
In an incident update issued on Thursday and signed by the Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA said a coordinated multi-agency rescue operation was underway to search for and extricate persons trapped beneath the rubble.

The agency also confirmed that the body of an adult male had been recovered from the debris.
