At least 17 people have been rescued alive and rushed to hospitals, while three others have been confirmed dead following the collapse of a building in the Satellite Town area of Lagos State on Thursday, as emergency responders continue search and rescue operations at the scene.

SaharaReporters visited the site of the incident at about 4pm and observed ongoing rescue efforts by emergency workers combing through the rubble for more possible survivors.

Sources at the scene confirmed that 17 victims had so far been pulled alive from the debris and taken to various hospitals for medical treatment, while three bodies had been recovered. Rescue operations were still ongoing at the time of filing this report.
