The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has assured the Plateau State Government of the Federal Government’s commitment to restoring peace and bringing those responsible for the recent deadly attack on Kawel community in Mushere District of Bokkos Local Government Area to justice.

The assurance was conveyed on Wednesday by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 4 Headquarters, Makurdi, Morris Dankwambo, during a visit to Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Old Government House, Rayfield, Jos.

The visit, undertaken on the directive of the Inspector-General, was aimed at conducting an on-the-spot assessment of the attack, evaluating the extent of the destruction, identifying operational gaps and strengthening measures to prevent similar incidents.

Conveying the condolences of the Inspector-General to the government and people of Plateau State, Dankwambo condemned the killings.
