JOS—Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has deployed the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, in charge of Zone 4 Headquarters, Makurdi, Dankombo Morris, to Plateau State, following the recent attack on Kawel community, in Mushere District of Bokkos Local Government Area.
The deployment is part of efforts to assess the security situation on the ground, restore peace and prevent further attacks in the area.
The IGP also approved the deployment of additional police personnel and operational assets, including Police Mobile Force operatives and tactical teams, to strengthen security in the affected communities.
During a visit to Bokkos on Tuesday, AIG Morris, accompanied by members of the Plateau State Police Command management team, met with local government officials, traditional rulers and other stakeholders.
