The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has assured Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of the Federal Government’s commitment to restoring security in the state following the deadly attack on Kawel community in Mushere District of Bokkos Local Government Area.

The assurance was conveyed on Wednesday by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 4 Headquarters, Makurdi, AIG Morris Dankwambo, during a visit to the governor at the Old Government House, Rayfield, Jos.

The visit was undertaken on the directive of the IGP to conduct an on-the-spot assessment of the attack, “evaluate the extent of the destruction, identify operational gaps, and strengthen measures to prevent future occurrences.”

Conveying the condolences of the Inspector-General to the government and people of Plateau State, Dankwambo condemned the killings in strong terms.
