Tensions flared in Hangberg, Hout Bay, on Monday, when police operations targeting the illegal possession of crayfish led to a heated confrontation with residents.
Police confirmed that members searched a house in the area and successfully recovered crayfish.
During the operation, officers received information regarding a second property allegedly linked to illegal activity.
Upon proceeding to the second address, five members discovered additional crayfish.
