Three suspects have been arrested after law enforcement officers intercepted a major abalone shipment in the heart of Camps Bay.
Police spokesperson, Thembakazi Mpendukana, confirmed the suspects were arrested and detained at Camps Bay police station.
They are expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court.
Metro police spokesperson, Ruth Solomons, confirmed that officers acted on information received at about 5:30am on Wednesday regarding two vehicles suspected of collecting abalone in the area.
