Ukrainian investor and KYB corporation owner Oleg Nevzorov has rejected allegations of misconduct and political protection in connection with an ongoing investigation related to the “Baba Alino” construction project in Varna.
Speaking to Bulgarian National Radio, Nevzorov said he does not consider himself guilty and expects the authorities to establish the facts. “No, I don’t feel guilty, I hope for justice and for the truth to be revealed by state institutions,” he said, adding that all relevant construction documents are already under review by law enforcement agencies.
Nevzorov confirmed that he has been questioned again by police in Varna and said he is fully cooperating with investigators. He insisted there is no hidden political backing or illicit payments involved in obtaining construction permits. “I have all the documents and they are with the law enforcement agencies and are being checked,” he said.
He also rejected claims that he is under criminal investigation abroad, stressing that he has no prior convictions or pending legal cases. According to him, he has not received any official summons in Ukraine.
“I am here, I am in Varna, in Bulgaria, I will not run away anywhere,” Nevzorov said, dismissing speculation that he might leave the country. He described Varna as a second home, comparing it to his native Odessa and saying both cities share similar character and potential.
