Cat Sterilisations.

The Mdzananda Animal Clinic and Shelter has launched a large-scale sterilisation initiative aimed at controlling animal overpopulation and improving pet health across the Khayelitsha community.

The campaign aims to fund and execute an additional 1,000 dog and cat sterilisations. This initiative will bolster the approximately 3,000 procedures the organisation already performs annually in Khayelitsha and its surrounding areas.

"We are thrilled to roll out this campaign and make a meaningful difference in the lives of dogs, cats, and the families who care for them," said Marcelle du Plessis, Fundraising and Communications Executive at Mdzananda.

"Over the past few months, we have been registering pets for the programme while educating community members about the importance and benefits of sterilisation."
