South African car spinning champion Katlego "King Katra" Mokgoshi poses on the hood of his custom, Monster Energy-branded BMW E30 at a racetrack following the official announcement of his partnership with the global energy drink brand.
Amid the roar of modified engines and a thick cloud of white tyre smoke, South African spinning and drifting sensation Katlego Mokgoshi, universally known as King Katra, was officially unveiled as the newest signed athlete for Monster Energy at the Gas Motor Show.
The 26-year-old driver has spent more than a decade refining a craft that began in Polokwane when he was 14 following in the footsteps of his father, a pioneer of the local spinning scene.
Mokgoshi has grown from a regional prodigy into one of Africa’s most celebrated automotive stuntmen, boasting a digital following of nearly 400,000 fans across Facebook and YouTube.
Speaking trackside at the launch, introducing himself as "Katra Mokgoshi, your boy here online," the driver acknowledged that the partnership represents the pinnacle of his professional journey.
