A new jetty, improved access points and regular water testing are among the latest additions.
The Tajch reservoir in the central Slovak town of Nová Baňa is ready for the summer bathing season, with local authorities introducing additional water-quality testing and new safety measures for visitors.
Alongside routine inspections carried out by the regional public health authority, the town has commissioned supplementary water sampling and laboratory analysis every three weeks throughout the summer.
“Safety and comfort are our priorities. In addition to the regular inspections provided by the regional public health authority, we have arranged extra water sampling and analysis every three weeks,” said Lucia Beťková, director of Nová Baňa’s municipal technical services. Results of the tests will be published regularly.
