Image: Ronnie Holmberg / YleYle News10:07Commuters and tourists in Espoo and points west should brace for slower, more complex travel arrangements for most of this summer.No local trains are running west of Leppävaara for more than a month beginning on Monday 22 June, due to track work.Some trains will start rolling again on 27 July, but A trains will remain offline until 10 August. No trains will stop at the Valimo, Pitäjänmäki and Mäkkylä stations during that period.The disruptions will also affect commuter rail services from Leppävaara towards Kauklahti, Kirkkonummi and Siuntio. E, U, L and Y trains are not running.Trains will be replaced by buses, but you may have to switch between several forms of transport – and it will take longer to reach your destination.In addition, there will be shorter interruptions in train services on weekends next autumn, with disruptions of 1-2 days in September and October. Meanwhile, the Tuomarila station is completely shut until early October.The work on the Coastal Line is related to the Espoo Rail Line project, which is expected to continue until 2029.
