Passengers travelling between Helsinki and western Espoo or Kirkkonummi will face major changes this summer as railway construction work forces the suspension of train services on large sections of the Coastal Line.

The disruptions begin on 22 June and will continue until 26 July, affecting commuter rail traffic west of Leppävaara. The work forms part of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency's Espoo Rail Line project, one of the largest rail investments currently under way in Finland.

During the five-week period, no commuter trains will operate between Leppävaara and Kauklahti, Kirkkonummi or Siuntio. E, U, L and Y train services will be suspended on the affected section and replaced by buses.
