The senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, has refuted allegations that members of the ruling All Progressives Congress were involved in vote buying during the ongoing governorship election in the state.
Adaramodu described the allegations as false and mischievous, alleging that they were being propagated by members of opposition parties.
The senator, who spoke with journalists, on Saturday, after casting his vote at Unit 1, Ward 11, Ilawe Ekiti, said those making the allegations belonged to unpopular political parties.
He said, “You can see, you can look around. Have you ever seen anybody retailing votes for sale? Have you seen anybody exchanging votes for money? Where is it? Because when somebody is about to lose an election, you see all these kinds of frivolous allegations. They have bought votes. They have done this, they have done that. Now you see people smiling. You are here, you see people smiling. They don’t look like people who are forced to vote, who are coerced to vote, whose votes were bought.
