There was widespread vote buying orchestrated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in parts of Ado-Ekiti, Ado-West Local Government Area of Ekiti State, during Saturday’s local government election, as voters were reportedly induced with cash payments of up to N15,000 in what other party agents openly described as “see and buy.”

SaharaReporters observed the vote-buying activities at Ward 4, Polling Unit 1, Ado-West Local Government Area, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, where some people were strategically positioned to monitor voters after they had cast their ballots.

Meanwhile, at the polling unit, after voting, voters were directed to move forward to a point where an APC agent and a chubby woman dressed in blue were stationed to pay them cash.
