Anti-drone nets are being installed at public transport terminals in the Kosmichnyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Zaporizhzhia. In addition, the city plans to install 200 concrete shelters.

This was announced by Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov during a television broadcast, Ukrinform reports.

According to Fedorov, the growing number of drone attacks has prompted the authorities, together with relevant services, to strengthen anti-drone protection along both national highways and within urban areas.

“Anti-drone nets will be deployed at terminal stops in the Kosmichnyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts to protect public transport. Similar nets will also be installed along major transport corridors. Of course, this is difficult to implement in an urban environment because there will still be enough gaps through which drones could enter if the enemy conducts targeted attacks,” he said.
