Zaporizhzhia will install additional shelters at public transport stops and other crowded locations, while the city's public transport vehicles will have their windows reinforced with blast-resistant film.
According to Ukrinform, Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Head Ivan Fedorov made the announcement in a public address.
"Last Friday, I met with all the region's industrial enterprises and asked them to help build additional shelters near public transport stops, factory entrances, and other places where large numbers of people gather. Almost all of them responded positively and have already begun the work. The Red Cross will provide 10 additional shelters this month and another 10 by the end of August," Fedorov said.
Earlier, the city began installing anti-drone nets. According to Fedorov, the first results have already been seen.
In particular, in the Kosmichnyi district, a drone struck one of the protective nets, preventing damage to a vehicle.
