Recently, the number of attacks on Zaporizhzhia has increased, and the Defense Forces have not been able to destroy all the drones and unmanned aerial vehicles heading toward the city.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported this during a briefing, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“The enemy is employing a tactic to overload our air defense systems so that, out of five guided aerial bombs, roughly two reach their target, and out of seven, roughly three or four reach their target. The number of Russian guided aerial bomb attacks on the city has changed,” Fedorov said.
According to him, given the number of airstrikes, guided aerial bombs have posed the greatest threat to Zaporizhzhia in recent weeks.
“We can shoot down about 50%, but the other 50% cause enormous damage and take the lives of residents,” he noted.
