A clothing store owner in western Athens has been arrested after authorities discovered and seized nearly 800 counterfeit fashion items bearing fake high-end brand labels during an inspection, police said.
The operation led to the confiscation of the forged goods, which were subsequently destroyed, authorities said. Rights holders of the affected brands were notified of the seizure, the authorities noted.
A case file has been drawn up against the suspect, who was taken before the prosecutor as legal proceedings continue.
