Branch 1 of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court has sentenced Ehsan Khodadadi, a citizen from Malekan County, to death on charges of corruption on Earth.
According to the information received, the verdict was issued and officially served to the prisoner on Monday, June 15. Ehsan Khodadadi, a resident of Yuzbash Kandi village in Malekan County, was arrested by security forces on June 7, 2025.
Reports indicate that following his arrest, Mr. Khodadadi was subjected to months of intensive interrogation and torture aimed at extracting forced confessions, after which he was transferred to the Central Prison of Tabriz. It is reported that the Tabriz Revolutionary Court handed down his death sentence based primarily on these confessions.
Now, nearly a year after his initial detention, Branch 1 of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court has sentenced him to death under the charge of efsad-fil-arz.
To date, however, no clear details have been released regarding the specific grounds for the charge, the actions attributed to Mr. Khodadadi, or the evidence cited by the court to hand down this ruling.
