Wizz Air has announced the launch of a new direct air route connecting Sofia and Berlin, with year-round operations scheduled to begin in September 2026.

The airline confirmed that flights will start on September 20 and will run four times per week, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Tickets are already available for purchase via the company’s website and mobile application, with prices starting from €31.99.

Berlin is presented by the carrier as a major European hub for both tourism and business travel, known for landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag building, the Berlin TV Tower, Museum Island, and sections of the Berlin Wall. The city is also highlighted for its cultural diversity, dynamic neighborhoods, and strong role in Europe’s arts and culinary scenes.

In a statement, Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Head of Corporate Communications at Wizz Air, said, “It is with great pleasure that we announce the launch of our new direct route from Sofia to Berlin… This new route is another confirmation of our long-term commitment to expanding the possibilities of easy and affordable travel for Bulgarian passengers.” He added that the connection is expected to support both tourism and economic ties between the two capitals.
