A 28-year-old man was sentenced to life imprisonment on Monday for sexually assaulting a minor girl on February 5, 2022. B. Simran alias Mohanraj (28) of Ponnammapet had been arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for sexually assaulting a minor girl. The trial of the case was held at the Special Court for the Exclusive Trial of Cases under the POCSO Act in Salem.
