A large-scale Russian drone and missile attack on Kyiv overnight killed four people and injured at least 23 others, including a child.
According to Ukrinform, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko and Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko reported this.
Explosions were reported across the capital as air defense systems engaged incoming targets. Tymur Tkachenko said more than 40 sites sustained varying degrees of damage.
Residential buildings were hit in several districts, including Darnytskyi, Obolonskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Solomianskyi and Pecherskyi. Fires broke out in apartment blocks, a market, shops, warehouses and private homes. A 25-story residential building in Darnytskyi district was among the structures struck.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 11 of the injured were hospitalized, with several remaining in serious condition. A pregnant woman and a child were among the casualties.
