Five people were killed and at least 25 others were injured in a massive Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv overnight on July 2.

Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Unfortunately, the death toll has risen to three. Another 25 people have been injured," he wrote.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko later provided an updated casualty toll on his Telegram channel.

"Five people have been killed in the capital. Another 34 have been injured. Paramedics have hospitalized 32 of them, while two received medical assistance at the scene," he wrote.
