Russia's overnight large-scale missile and drone attack on Kyiv injured 24 people, including two children, while causing multiple fires, building damage, and civilian casualties across several districts of the capital.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"So far, 24 people have been reported injured in the attack on the capital. Fourteen of them have been hospitalized, including two children aged seven and eight," Klitschko said.
In the Darnytskyi district, debris struck a 25-story residential building on the fourth floor, trapping people on the upper levels. Rescue workers evacuated 22 residents from the building and recovered the bodies of two people. Emergency crews continue efforts to reach those still trapped on the upper floors.
Also, in Darnytskyi district, a fire broke out on the 23rd and 24th floors of a 30-story apartment building, prompting the evacuation of residents.
