Severe thunderstorms will target parts of the East and Plains on Sunday, while the storm-weary Midwest faces another threat of severe weather by the middle of the week, AccuWeather meteorologists warn.
As storms approach and pass through major airport hubs, the risk of airline delays and cancellations will increase. Those traveling on the roads will also have to be prepared for delays as thunderstorms can knock down trees and power lines.
Storms to focus across parts of the East, Plains on Sunday
Two areas will be at risk for severe thunderstorms on Sunday. The first area will focus across the East, spanning over a dozen states from much of Georgia to western Maine.
