On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the Indian Red Cross Society of Visakhapatnam district on Sunday organised a blood donation camp at Madhurawada. Held in association with the Hazrat Muqthiar Ali Foundation, the camp ran from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of voluntary donors.Speaking on the occasion, the society’s Chairman C. Balasatish said voluntary blood donation was the highest form of service to humanity, noting that a single unit of blood could save up to three lives.Mr. Balasatish thanked all eligible citizens who came forward to donate, calling for continued community participation in such initiatives to ensure adequate blood supply for those in need.
