Sections of Athens Metro Line 3 will face early station closures and service disruptions starting Monday as maintenance work shifts from Line 2.

Rail replacement work on Line 2 between Sepolia and Dafni was completed ahead of schedule on June 11, following a major upgrade that included 21.6 kilometers of new rail, 1,300 welds and ultrasonic safety inspections.

Attention now turns to Line 3 between Panoormou and Nomismatokopio, where stations will close early Sunday through Thursday nights and trains will run in separate segments due to scheduled works.

A temporary bus service will operate to maintain passenger connections during the disruption.
