Here’s what to do during the weekend of 12-14 June.

Devín Castle, perched at the meeting point of the Morava and Danube rivers—a historic crossroads of cultures—will host the second edition of the multigenre festival called Sútok (Confluence) on Saturday, June 13. The event aims to celebrate the site’s deep-rooted heritage while embracing modern culture. Visitors can look forward to guided tours, DJ sets, evening concerts including FVCK KVLT, Vojtik, Fallgrapp, discussions and more. Large-scale murals by Slovak and international artists are coming to life this week in the Sídlisko Juh neighbourhood of Trenčín. FEST ART aims to bring high-quality contemporary art directly to local communities by transforming apartment blocks into an open-air gallery before residents’ eyes. The festival culminates on Saturday with concerts, DJ sets, a basketball tournament, a grill party and a range of other activities. Admission is free. Find out more here.

For the first time in its history, Trenčín will welcome Japanese culture into its streets, galleries and cultural venues. Japan Days, running from 10 to 14 June, will offer a different experience each day, including the creation of a large-scale mural, theatre performances, kite-making workshops, tea ceremonies, martial arts demonstrations and more.
