Here's what to do during the weekend of 17-19 July.

Ever experienced the atmosphere of Venice and felt like something was missing? Perhaps mountains? This Saturday, you can enjoy just such a combination at Štrbské Pleso, a mountain lake in the High Tatras. During a romantic afternoon and evening, visitors can row across the lake, sample wines, listen to the soothing sounds of harps, and watch theatrical performances. Banská Bystrica is hosting the 17th edition of the Legits Blast Festival, a celebration of hip-hop culture. From Sunday and running all next week, artists, dancers, DJs and musicians from over 90 countries will compete in battles, offer workshops, and perform in concerts, parties and other events. Lestival, Slovakia's first fantasy festival, returns for its eighth edition this weekend. Inspired by the myths and fairy tales collected by 19th-century folklorist Pavol Dobšinský, the festival invites visitors into a magical world of Slavic legends and folklore.
