Here's what to do during the weekend of 14-16 August.

The town of Námestovo in northern Slovakia is currently hosting the Tanečno international dance festival. Since 2017, the event has brought professional dancers from around the world to showcase their skills and teach audiences of all ages, and this year's line-up is no exception. Running from Wednesday to Sunday, the highlight will be a performance and workshop by Venezuelan dancer David Zambrano, considered one of the most important figures in contemporary dance. Visitors can also look forward to performances by both international and local artists. While some events have already taken place, there is still plenty to see and learn until Sunday evening, with many performances taking place in public spaces. Tickets and programme details are available here.

The Grape music festival is returning to Trenčín Airport. Running from Friday to Saturday, this year's headliners include Jorja Smith, Parcels, Yung Lean & Bladee, Brutalismus 3000 and more. Visitors will also have the chance to see and hear Czech and Slovak artists. For a change of pace, there are plenty of other activities to choose from, including various sports, dance battles, Urban Market and more. Get your tickets here.
