Rory Petzer will be among the thousands of spectators cheering on the participants in this year's 50th official Comrades Marathon race.
As thousands of runners tie their laces for the 2026 Comrades Marathon on Sunday, June 14, South Africa is preparing for its favourite annual tearjerker. This year marks the historic 50th official Up Run, a 90 km gauntlet of relentless climbs from Durban’s City Hall to Pietermaritzburg.
It is a route famous for breaking legs, hearts and minds.
