In a directive issued by the party's state secretariat and signed by its chairman, Price M. Ayuba, the AAC said the decision followed a resolution reached by the General Assembly of the Take It Back Movement, which has called for a peaceful nationwide demonstration to demand urgent government action on insecurity, hunger and governance challenges.
The Plateau State chapter of the African Action Congress (AAC) has directed all its members, candidates, aspirants and party structures across the state to mobilise and participate in the nationwide protest scheduled for June 12 over worsening insecurity, economic hardship and what organisers describe as growing threats to democratic rights in Nigeria.
The opposition party instructed its State Executive Committee members, local government executives, ward leaders, candidates, aspirants and supporters to commence immediate mobilisation efforts across the 17 local government areas of Plateau State.
