TIB lamented how many Nigerians are grappling with severe economic and security challenges while government institutions have failed to effectively address the country's problems.

The Take-It-Back (TIB) Movement has announced venues for its planned nationwide protest on June 12, 2026, over worsening insecurity, economic hardship, human rights violations, and poor governance under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

The decision was reached during the group’s General Assembly held on June 7, 2026, which brought together members, state coordinators, and leaders from across the country to review the state of the nation and chart a course of action.

In a communiqué signed by the National Coordinator of TIB, Juwon Sanyaolu, and the General Secretary, Stephen Olabiyi, TIB expressed concern over deteriorating security conditions, rising poverty, and increasing attacks on democratic rights across Nigeria.
