The Take-It-Back (TIB) Movement has announced plans to stage a nationwide protest on June 12, 2026, citing worsening insecurity, economic hardship, alleged government repression and what it described as the failure of governance under President Bola Tinubu's administration.

The decision was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the movement's General Assembly meeting held on June 7, 2026, with members, state coordinators and leaders from across Nigeria in attendance.

According to the group, participants at the meeting expressed concern over what they described as the country's deteriorating security situation, rising poverty and the erosion of democratic freedoms.

In the communiqué signed by the National Coordinator, Juwon Sanyaolu, and the General Secretary, Stephen Olabiyi, the movement said, "Nigeria under the current administration has collapsed into misrule, corruption, and policy failures."
