Fresh allegations against KwaNdengezi security guards intensify scrutiny as a second e-hailing driver comes forward, revealing intimidation and potential parole violations.
The controversy surrounding three security guards accused of attacking an e-hailing driver and harassing female passengers in KwaNdengezi has deepened, with a second driver now coming forward with fresh allegations against the same suspects.
KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport and Human Settlements, Siboniso Duma, confirmed on Monday that another e-hailing driver had approached the department with allegations of intimidation and had handed over additional video footage to police as part of an ongoing investigation.
The latest development comes days after the three security guards were arrested following a widely circulated video showing armed men confronting an e-hailing driver and passengers in KwaNdengezi, west of Durban.
According to Duma, the driver was encouraged to formally report the matter to police.
